Hot Cocoa

Harlan’s dress found HERE and HERE
Copper mug found HERE

It’s been snowing and very could around here for the last few weeks, so whenever we come in from playing outside, the kids request hot chocolate to warm – up. Well one day,  I ran out. We live away from town so a grocery store isn’t exactly close. So I decided to just mock something up. Well, the kids LOVED it! Since then I’ve perfected it,  and honestly I will never go back to store-bought that is filled with thickeners, etc. It’s so decadent and rich I know you will love it! Plus it’s dairy and gluten free- win-win!
Here’s the recipe :

Hot Cocoa

1/3 cup Cocoa
( *good cocoa is important. I have a brand called Rodelle, you can get it from costco )
1/3 cup coconut sugar
1/4 tsp pink himalayan rock salt

Almond/ Coconut/ Soy milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
Coconut whipped cream

Sprinkles
( I’m loving local company Dainty Sprinkles right now )

Mix all the dry ingredients together, This will give you enough mix for a couple of glasses, but feel free to double this so you can just store it in your cupboard. Once ready to make hot cocoa, pour desired milk into sauce pan, add mix and a dash of vanilla, mix well.
Top with marshmallows, coconut whip and enjoy!

Remember to tag, or send me your pics on IG if you like it ! I love hearing from you all !
